Although we do everything in our power to make the BookBeam Chrome Extension as fast, accurate, and as stable as possible, there may be rare occasions where issues occur that are not within our direct control.
Here are the most common causes for why you may not be seeing the Best Sellers Ranks (BSR) and sales data and how to resolve them:
- A slow or unstable internet connection – if your internet connection is slow, the sales data (BSR, units sold per day/month, revenue) may take a longer while to load.
- The second most common reason is having several other Amazon-related Chrome Extensions installed. Having multiple other Amazon BSR Chrome extensions may conflict with the proper functioning of our chrome extension. The other extensions may be launching requests to Amazon from your browser, even if you do not have them open. Amazon, therefore, may see this as unusual activity and may block the data requests.To resolve this you can remove some or all other Amazon BSR extensions and wait 30 minutes to an hour and everything should be working.
- It also may be possible that a book or several books on the page have not been assigned a best sellers rank. Usually, this is the case when a book has been recently published, has not yet made any sales, and has not been assigned a best sellers rank.
